I used to have a drapey crochet shawl back in college that I somehow lost track of. Since then, I have been dreaming about getting my hands on a similar one. Susan Sheby, our go-to pattern designer, has done just that and come up with this gorgeous pattern. This is the ideal coverup for a cool spring or summer evening. The glint of sparkle also adds a little bit of fancy shmancy and the picot edging is beautiful. The pattern calls for 2 skeins of our Maharani Silk yarn. It’s a simple crochet pattern that will just take a little bit of time to get the hang of before you’re a pro. The pattern, which I named after my favorite Allman Brothers song, is now available on Ravelry for $3 here. I had so much fun taking pics of my sister wearing this last weekend. Boston is absolutely beautiful right now!
The Drop Stitch Fingerless Gloves!
Hooray- another new SPRING pattern to go along with this warmer weather we are having! It's worth mentioning, this one is knit on teeny tiny needles (size 4's)- definitely a first for us at Knit Collage. Danielle Shields, who has knit a plethora of amazing patterns for us, has designed another gorgeous one. This design is a fingerless glove pattern with a beautiful drop stitch detail running down the center. I was terrified of putting my size 17 needles aside to knit these but they really weren't too hard. The end result was worth it. These mitts fit perfectly snug and are just so darn pretty. The pattern is knit with 1 skein of our Maharani Silk yarn and is available now on Ravelry here. I knit mine in colorway's Navy Pop & Deep Sea Wave.
I added in the thumb stripe for fun! This is a pic of the back of the glove.
Lulu Loves Crochet Pattern in Maharani Silk
I first stumbled upon Emma and her Lulu Loves blog through Pinterest and fell in love with many of her patterns. I adore her peter pan collar pattern (it's free!) and thought it might work up well in our new Maharani Silk yarn. I was right! I made the first collar in 1 night. I was totally unable to stop crocheting because it was just too pretty and I had to finish!Â

Maharani silk has one skinny strand of lurex plied into it and I love the little bit of sparkle that adds to this project. Who doesn't like a little sparkle on their neck?! Now I’ve made 3 and love them all. Photos of my collars are below but also feel free to check out my project on Ravelry, click here. It's worth seeing the other 200+ projects that others have made too. All pretty! We have also shipped out this new yarn to many stores now. If you're interested in finding out exactly which shops stock it, drop me an email at amy@knitcollage.comÂ
