Refund policy

Returns requested within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a refund on the original payment method. Requests 31 days through 90 days are eligible for store credit only. Please make sure the product you’re returning is unused, unwound and in the original packaging, we do not accept returns on wound, unlabeled yarn or final sale, limited edition items. Eligible returns of items purchased as part of a 'Buy X Get Y' promotion will result in a refund reflecting the adjusted purchase price based on the remaining items kept.

To return an item please visit https://knitcollage.com/apps/redo/returns-portal/login and complete the return request form. You’ll need your order number or the email address that you used to place your order. Once the return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment minus the original shipping fee. Domestic orders received in the 31-90 day window that meet the above conditions are eligible for a store credit only. The same guidelines and above steps for a return apply. 

Beyond 90 days, items are not eligible for return or store credit.

Steps to make a return:

  1. To start the return of your item please visit https://knitcollage.com/apps/redo/returns-portal/login and complete the return request form.
  2. Please make sure the product you’re returning is unused, unwound and in the original packaging.
  3. If you did not select Checkout+ during checkout (available from June 29th, 2026), then you will be asked to provide a method of payment for your return label. Return label and initial shipping costs are not eligible for refund.
  4. If Checkout+ was chosen during checkout, you will receive a pre-paid return label.
  5. You will receive an email once your return has been processed. Our usual timeline for processing returns is between 7-10 days from when they arrive at the warehouse.
  6. Digital goods such as patterns and classes are final sale and are not eligible for refund/exchange or return.
  7. Items marked final Sale and/or limited edition items are not eligible for return, refund or exchange.

What is Checkout+?: This is an optional add-on available at checkout that provides both free return shipping and package protection for your order.

By adding Checkout+ on your order, you will receive:

  • Free Return Shipping: If you need to return an eligible item for refund or store
    credit, your return shipping label is covered.

  • Package Protection: If your package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, you can submit a claim with Redo, and upon approval, receive a refund of your original order.

**Checkout+ fees are nonrefundable.

International Returns:

International returns delivered back to us for refusal to pay duties/tax are not eligible for a refund. It is highly encouraged for all international customers to select to pre-pay duty and tax along with shipping when checking out online (DDP). If you choose to pay only shipping cost during checkout (DDU), you are agreeing to pay whatever duty, tax and additional handling fees you are assessed when the shipment reaches your home country in order to receive your package. Duty, tax and handling fees are often higher when the package arrives in your home country than what is quoted on our website, however if you pre-pay on our site during checkout, you will not need to pay more. Knit Collage is not responsible for any duty and tax quotes, misclassifications or fees.

For international returns, all of the same conditions above apply:

  1. The return must be made within 30 days of the original purchase for a refund
  2. The product must be unused, unwound and in the original packaging
  3. Returns/Refunds/Exchanges do not apply to Final Sale and/or limited edition items or digital goods, such as patterns or classes.

For international returns, return shipping and associated duties and/or taxes must be paid by the customer. To initiate your international return prior to sending your package to us in the mail, please contact hello@knitcollage.com. Any packages sent to us without prior confirmation will not be eligible for a return.

EU Returns

Right of Withdrawal

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw from many contracts within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing any reason.

Please note that under Article 14(1) of Directive 2011/83/EU, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. A prepaid label will be provided through our withdrawal portal; the label cost will be deducted from your refund.

We will issue your refund within fourteen (14) days of receiving notification of your cancellation, or, if later, once we have received the returned goods or you have provided proof that the goods have been shipped back to us.

This right applies to all items purchased through our store, with certain exceptions such as digital products, perishable goods, sealed personal hygiene products, and personalized items, as set forth in Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU.
