A few weeks ago, pattern designer Susan Sheby & I were thinking about new summery patterns to do in our silk yarn. She came across the Dew Drop Cowl pattern on Ravelry and we both knew right away that this would work beautifully in our Maharani Silk. Susan whipped it up in colorway Navy Pop, which might be my favorite. The loose gauge and open hole-y stitch make this an ideal summer accessory! Also, did I mention this pattern is free and only takes 1 skein of Maharani Silk? BONUS!
The Gauzy Summer Scarf
Most of our yarns are chunky and wooly which makes pretty lace stitches not really feasible. That is not the case with our summery yarn called Maharani Silk. This yarn is a sport weight that knits up beautifully in all those pretty open stitches. I've had a lot of fun swatching and experimenting with different stitch combinations. The end result is the scarf you see here. The pattern is a combination of many of my favorite stitches striped together that create a beautiful texture. The finished look is open, gauzy and light weight, making this scarf your go to warm weather accessory! Hope you like as much as me :) Pattern available here.
The Leafy Lace Tunic
Today we are releasing another super pretty pattern- the leafy lace tunic by Susan Sheby. This top can be worn as a dress, a tunic over skinny jeans, or even as a bikini coverup like we’ve shown in these pics. The tunic is oversized, drapey and should fit most body types. The designer Susan came up with a beautiful leafy lace motif that creates a fabric that is a touch sheer. Can't wait to wear this to the beach this Memorial Day weekend! The pattern contains a lace chart, so knowledge of how to read that will help! We used 4 skeins of our Maharani Silk yarn in colorway Champagne. The pattern is now available on Ravelry here.
