Chunky Crocheted Baskets

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, free patterns, sister yarn

Confession- I have serious obsession with baskets, especially pretty ones that hold yarn. A while back I stumbled across this crochet basket pattern and knew we had to give it a try. I've been searching for just the right basket pattern that would work with a chunky yarn.  I employed the help of Tori, our resident crochet aficionado, to help out. She quickly whipped up these 2 baskets in our Sister yarn, color Driftwood. I love how they turned out. Aside from yarn and needles, I can imagine these holding my sons toys as well. What a simple way to create something gorgeous for your home! The pattern is available free here, and the yarn is available here

Wildflower Market Bag

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, wildflower

Say hello to your new favorite bag! Our version of a market bag knits up in our Wildflower yarn which is made from strips of block printed cotton fabric from India. The paisley and flower print on the fabric make this yarn (and your finished project) totally unique. This bag is perfect for weekend trips to the farmers market or for toting around your picnic supplies. The pattern is available right here. We knit ours in colorway Gardenia.

Crochet Market Bag

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, free patterns, maharani silk

As we head into warmer weather, I'm always on the lookout for new crafting inspiration.  On pinterest, I came across this adorable crochet market bag, which is just about the cutest thing ever!  Of course, we had to make one up in our yarn.  We picked our Maharani Silk which is has the littlest bit of sparkle in it.  The best part is that this pattern is free on ravelry (available here) and it only calls for 1 skein of our yarn! Happy crocheting!

Pic above is from the crochet blog All About Ami. The original inspiration!

Our version in Maharani Silk, colorway Witching Hour.

Stitch detail.
