Today we are introducing another beautiful hat pattern in our favorite hat shape. Our Pointelle Beret features a simple stitch that give it a subtle twisting lace pattern. The hat is an oversized slouchy beret that can be easily customized in knitting to be more or less slouchy, depending on what you like. We like it super slouchy! The pattern calls for 1 skein of Sister yarn (color Jaipur Rose shown here) and is now available here.

Since last fall, we've been collaborating with Spratters and Jayne, a company that specializes in gorgeous handknit accessories. For their fall 2013 collection, our Pixie Dust yarn is featured in three of their designs. Not only did we spin the yarn for them, the ladies we employ also knit up the accessories. It was our first attempt at making finished goods from our yarns.  All in all, a very challenging, rewarding and exciting opportunity for Knit Collage.  I love their company's philosophy of working "with cooperatives around the world where fiber arts are a long standing tradition." Today we are introducing another lovely hat into the Knit Collage pattern collection, the Perfect Slouch Hat knit in our newest Cast Away yarn. This hat has that perfect nonchalant slouchy shape that is so tough to come by and so satisfying once you find it. It is snug around your ears and slightly loose up top (but not too loose!) for ideal scrunching. This pattern knits up in 1 skein and is a beautiful way to show off the subtle textures and colors of Cast Away yarn. The hat shown below is knit up in the color Charcoal Blossom.
