The Silkwing Scarf by Knit Culture

Knit Culture, a FABULOUS shop in Los Angeles, designed the prettiest scarf using our Maharani Silk yarn. The scarf pattern is called the Silkwing Scarf.  I love the designer Emma's description: "The finished scarf (once blocked) makes a lovely accent for special occasions. But it’s also summery and would look marvelous blowing in the wind on the beach, or in a top-down convertible." Doesn't that make you want to cast on right now?! Added bonus, this pattern is free and only uses 1 skein of yarn. Their sample is knit up in the color Keylime Pie. Pattern available right here

The Cocoon Pixie Cowl

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, pixie dust

Often times I am asked what can you make with one skein of Knit Collage yarn. Over the years, I've tried to come up with lots of great answers to that question. At the last needle arts tradeshow, I wanted to tackle this question with our Pixie Dust yarn, mainly because we have 3 new colors coming out this fall. That is how the Cocoon Pixie Cowl came about. It is a simple pattern that will take you just a few hours to make but the end result is anything but boring. The yarn has so much texture and color that you barely have to do anything to it to make it look pretty. I know we have a long way till the holidays but this would be the best handmade gift. Quick to knit up, beautiful and soft. The pattern is available right here.  I knit this one up in new Pixie Dust color Granola Girl, my personal favorite, new for Fall 2015!

The Candy Cowl by Juju Vail

One of my favorite patterns to knit with our yarn is the Candy Cowl by Juju Vail of Loop London. It's lightweight and makes great use of 1 skein of our yarns. Change up the mohair that's striped in and you have a more summery feeling cowl.

Another bonus- all of our yarns will work with this pattern too. I've knit it a handful of times and recommend it to anyone that's not quite sure what to do with our yarns.  Did I mention the pattern is free?! Available here.

Before our latest tradeshow I whipped one up in our Daisy Chain yarn in color Frosty Azure. The other yarn I knit with is a Be Sweet yarn, medium brushed mohair.  Take a peak below- love the way this one turned out!

And the Loop version photographed above- so pretty right?!
