Favorite Stargazer Silk Patterns

With temperatures above 90 this week in Boston, the only knits on my mind are lightweight, summery ones. So we thought it would be the perfect time to highlight our 5 favorite patterns knit in our warm-weather friendly, Stargazer Silk yarn. If you're not familiar with it, Stargazer Silk is a hand dyed yarn that is strung with silver-colored brass sequins. The hand dyeing process creates a vibrant color with subtle high and low color variations throughout yarn. The brass sequins create a beautiful weight and drape as well.

The Stargazer Shawlette by Knit Culture. Only 1 skein needed.

A personal favorite! The Summer of Love Tank by Susan Sheby. This pattern calls for 4 skeins.

The National Gallery Shawl by Tanis Gray. This pattern calls for 3 skeins.

Andromeda by Army of Knitters- 7-10 skeins needed.

And last but definitely not least, the Fish Scale Bagette! You'll need 3 skeins for this one.

The Bunny Lane Scarf by Army of Knitters

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, daisy chain

At out big industry tradeshow a few weeks ago, Heather of Army of Knitters was kind enough to let me borrow her Bunny Lane Scarf sample which is a big favorite of mine! It makes perfect use of our Daisy Chain yarn.

Here's Heather's description of the pattern in her own words: "When I saw this yarn from Knit Collage with tiny daisies spun into it, memories of making daisy chains, to adorn my head and neck, came flooding back from my youth! I had to have this yarn to knit daisy chains that wouldn’t fade and die after a few hours. Make your own Daisy Chain Scarf and Headband to bring a little Summer of Love into your life, all year long." Love that! Take a look at the pics below and be sure to check out the pattern in further detail here.

The Gauzy Summer Scarf

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, maharani silk

Most of our yarns are chunky and wooly which makes pretty lace stitches not really feasible. That is not the case with our summery yarn called Maharani Silk. This yarn is a sport weight that knits up beautifully in all those pretty open stitches. I've had a lot of fun swatching and experimenting with different stitch combinations. The end result is the scarf you see here. The pattern is a combination of many of my favorite stitches striped together that create a beautiful texture. The finished look is open, gauzy and light weight, making this scarf your go to warm weather accessory! Hope you like as much as me :) Pattern available here.
