I'm so excited to share the style options for our upcoming knitalong, slated to kick off in mid October. At Knit Collage, we host two knitalongs (KALs) a year and they are what myself and the small but mighty team here lives for. We work on behind the scenes all year long. During our KALs, we connect with other makers, knit in community, cheer each other on, learn new things and finish with an heirloom handknit to treasure for years to come. In a completely non-preachy way, I also put a self care bent on the KAL and focus on how good knitting, creativity and making are for us! There will be all levels, restorative zoom yoga again and events centered around diving deep into your most creative self. The design winners are chosen by popular vote so here is your chance to have your voice heard and counted. Feel free to share with friends! I would so appreciate your help and input to make this our best to date. If any of these intimidate you - please keep in mind that I teach you how to knit each style from start to finish in an online class that is yours forever. Last spring, many knitters tackled their first sweater ever!  More photos below too :)

Fall 2021 Knitalong Design Survey

Option #1: Magic Mountain CardiMagic Mountain CardiIn this style we tackle STEEKING, which is a knitting technique where we knit in the round and then cut into our sweater to make a cardigan. It's a little scary and the absolute perfect technique to take on together, with loads of video and in person teacher help when you need it.

Option #2: Loop It Up CardiLoop It Up Kaleidoscope CardiThis style is all about that loop stitch and rock n roll feel. Learn a new stitch and create a true statement sweater!

Option #3: Shake Your Groove Thing PonchoShake Your Groove Thing PonchoAre you a beginner knitter? This might just be the pattern for you. The Shake Your Groove Thing Poncho is a top down, super easy knit where you get to do you with color and yarn mixing!

Option #4: Express Yourself SweaterExpress Yourself Sweater

It's all about a simple colorwork motif and our brushed boucle Serenity yarn in this style. Lightweight yet cozy and a breeze to knit :) Looking to try colorwork for the the first time, let's tackle it together with this design.

Option #5: Over the Rainbow CardiOver the Rainbow Cardi

Who doesn't love a rainbow? Certainly not the team here at knit collage....!

Option #6: Dreamy Cardi

Dreamy Cardi

In the Dreamy Cardi, embrace our embellished and completely unique Dreamland yarn. Prepare yourself for a wearable art experience :)

Option #7: Flow State Scarf

Flow State ScarfIn the flow state scarf, we play with loop and slipped stitches to create a beautiful and graphic look along with a cozy texture.

Option 8: Kaleidoscope Stripe Cardi

I always love to have one Kaleidoscope sweater in the mix for our knitalongs. This cardi is a simple, top down sweater that is ideal for first time sweater knitters. Play with yarn and color and get as funky as you want!

Option 9: The Kaleidoscope Dog Sweater

The Kaleidoscope Dog Sweater...should we knit this for the knitalong? Would you?! What is the consensus here....my sister has been begging for this for years!

Thank you so much for letting me know your faves! I so hope you'll vote and if you feel moved to, join me in the upcoming KAL (knitalong!). To be the first to know about the KAL, sign up for updates here.  I'd also love to hear from you in the comments below. What peaks your interest? Would you knit more than one? I'll be doing ALL of them and would so love to have you join me!

Big hugs,

Amy

P.S. I'm rooting for the Magic Mountain Cardi, Shake Your Groove Thing Poncho and Loop It Up Cardi!
