2012 was a wonderful year for Knit Collage in more ways than one! We introduced a new yarn called Pixie Dust Mini as well as new colorways of Stargazer Silk, Pixie Dust and our Sister Yarn. We also launched our very own Ravelry pattern shop which has been so much fun to see grow. I love seeing which patterns get the most likes and of course all the finished projects that our lovely customers knit up. I've been lucky enough to work with 3 amazing designers that always inspire me to keep crafting and I hope you too. In 2012, I also custom designed a few yarns for Free People for their own sweater designs. This was so fun to be a part of and see come to life in a finished design! Photos of their sweater are below. Last but not least, Knit Collage was featured this fall on the Purl Bee- they knit up one of their super popular Pixie Dust Lap Blankets in the white sparkly colorway, Snowflake, which led to mass hysteria and a huge shortage of this color (there WILL be more in Feb though). It really was a fantastic year around here! Below are pics of our top 5 most popular patterns from 2012 and other highlights from the year!

The Hoodie Cowl was the top pattern download of 2012 and with 140 likes on Ravelry was the clear favorite!

The Drop Stitch Cowl was also a huge favorite with knitters- only uses 1 skein and shows off the yarn gorgeously.

Coming in at #3, the Ellie Cowl was also very popular. It really was a year for cowls!

The Turban Headband pattern was another favorite. This works up really well in our Sister, Rolling Stone or Gypsy Garden yarns.

Last but not least, the Mermaid Cafe cardi! This was our first sweater pattern ever and one of my most favorite!

Also memorable this year, we launched our very own knitting kit on Etsy with 2 skeins of yarn & 5 patterns, this is an awesome gift idea!

The Purl Bee's Pixie Dust Lap Blanket in Snowflake - absolutely gorgeous!

AND the Free People sweater in our yarn. Still available if you'd like to pick one up for yourself!

Oh yeah, and I GOT MARRIED!!! It really was the best year ever.  Thank you to everyone who's supported Knit Collage this year. I so appreciate ever single one of you.

xoxo Amy
