Ladder Stitch Cowl

This is one of my absolute favorite patterns for our yarns, if not my favorite, designed by Danielle Shields. It works amazingly well with our Rolling Stone & Gypsy Garden yarns. The ladder stitch, which is created by dropping stitches, makes for a lightweight yet warm finished cowl. I’m not usually a fan of knitting our yarns too tightly because the finished result can be too heavy and the handspun trim details get lost. This loose, open stitch shows off the yarn beautifully. You’re able to see more of the yarn’s color and texture details when it’s knit this way too. The pattern calls for 2 skeins of yarn but you could use 1 skein if you want the cowl to wrap around your neck just once! The pattern is available on Ravelry here.

The above cowl is knit in Raspberry Sunset Gypsy Garden yarn.
