Spring 2025 Knitalong ~ How To Join

posted by: Amy Small

I loved hearing about which styles you're interested in making and thank you for all the fantastic questions! In this final video, I go into more detail about why I care so much about knitting and crochet, especially in community, and how it has the potential to change us all for the better. I also share the incredible work of past knitalong and challenge participants and highlight some of their experiences. Lastly, I share about our scholarship program and exactly how to get involved and join us!

Within the knitalong experience, you'll get:

* An easy-to follow video course on how to knit or crochet each of the 8 winning designs, shown above and below. The video courses are broken into bite size chunks for easy learning and are yours forever.

* Simple Knitting 101 and Crochet 101 courses, geared towards beginners if you’re starting from zero.

* A downloadable workbook with the patterns and a rough knitting schedule to follow.

* Live zoom sessions with me, your teacher and our two expert Knit Collage coaches, Pia and Cheryl, to help answer in-the-moment questions. We have 2 per week for the duration of the KAL. This is where we help you with stumbling blocks and mistakes so that you make PROGRESS!

* Technical support in our Knit Collage App to answer all of your questions. Coaches Pia, Cheryl and myself will be there daily to help and cheer.

* A welcoming, energetic, and kind community of members to hold you accountable and keep you motivated to actually complete your project. This is 100% the very best part :)

* Mindfulness based zooms centered around waking up your inner artist and relaxation - think intention setting, creativity and restorative yoga.

* Optional accountability small group to 10x connection, fun and your progress!

*  Finish with a closing celebration party and community fashion show compilation video.

I encourage you to order early to make sure you get the color you want. Last knitalong we sold out of many colors within an hour and we do not have a lot of the new Mixtape yarn and needle felting kits. With the uncertainty around the tariffs, I'm unsure how our pricing and inventory will be affected for future shipments.

We open up registration for the Spring 2025 Knitalong on Wednesday, April 23rd at 10am ET and so hope you’ll join us!

Thank you so much. We have poured so much into this KAL and I just can't wait to get started! The team and I are all ready to help you wherever you are on your fiber or knitting journey.

If you have any questions, write me an email or leave a comment on my blog and I'll make sure to get right back to you.

Spring 2025 Knitalong ~ Yarn + Design Deep Dive!

posted by: Amy Small

I’m excited to share all of the styles, color, fit and pricing details for our upcoming knitalong with you today. In the video below, I walk you through the yarn, how it is made and by whom, how and where I teach, and design info for all of the styles. There's a lot! After the video, I dive into fit, pricing and color details in the blog post below. If you like, you can peruse all the color options early too!

Keep in mind that I teach you everything you need to know to knit or crochet your piece from start to finish in the video tutorials. If these styles feel complicated, not to worry, we got you! Many past participants knit their very first sweater with us. The tutorials are a labor of love that I work so hard on - last season we had 100 videos in total across all the designs! When you join us for a knitalong, the videos are yours forever to come back to anytime. Designing, tech editing and testing each pattern takes a small village - especially the sweaters, most of which include 9 sizes. Along with the video courses, our expert coaches will be there to help you in the moment, when you need it - live on zoom or in the community space on our app! When you buy just one kit, you will have lifetime access to all 8 of the patterns and their relevant course videos.

You can view all the color options and detailed design photos here. You do not need to have a Dropbox account, nor do you need to join the folder to see the content. Fit, size and pricing details listed out below! If you would like to see exact yarn usage per size for each design, we have that listed on each design's Ravelry page, linked below.

Please keep in mind we have two different ways to pay on the site, called Shop Pay and Afterpay. These options allow you to pay in 3-4 interest free installments rather than 100% all at once. There is no extra interest or cost, just an alternative way to pay. I discovered this to be very helpful as a payment method on some of my favorite sites.

Option 4 ~ The Monet Cardi by Ksenia Naidyon

Knit in Waterfall

The Monet Cardigan was dreamed up as a special layer for those spring and summer days when just a bit more warmth is needed. This easy to wear piece is a perfect companion for long walks in the meadows, picnics at the seaside, and summer nights by the campfire.

The Monet Cardigan is knit sideways, in two pieces, from the wrist to the middle of the back. The two pieces are then joined, using a three needle bind off. A cropped body, gentle V-neck shaping, and straight sleeves make it a dream to style. 2x1 ribbing at the cuffs, hem, and V-neck prevent the stockinette stitch from curling. Choose from different colorways of Waterfall yarn to match the mood of your favorite Monet painting and create your own masterpiece.

Knit in Spun Cloud and Wildflower Mini Skeins

The Spring Fling Cardi pattern mixes stripes and lace into a beautifully unique design! You'll start at the top neck and knit down, striping in our fun mini skein kits as you go. After the bust, we switch to a simple scalloped lace pattern. The pattern has two sleeve options for you to choose from: short sleeve and 3/4 flared sleeves. This kit is for the short sleeve option so if you want to knit this style with 3/4 sleeves, we recommend buying one more skein of your main color yarn. This is a fun pattern to try if lace has intimidated you in the past and the perfect Spring piece to add to your hand knit wardrobe.

The Spring Knitalong ~ Learn, Grow and Make Art Together!

posted by: Amy Small

The Spring Knitalong (KAL) is right around the corner and in today’s video, I dive deep into my big why and what makes these community events so unique. It’s about so much more than just yarn, knitting and crochet. Knitting and crochet are tools we can use to come back to our authentic creative selves. Beyond that, our making practice helps us feel more relaxed, patient and confident - something we all might benefit from anytime, but especially right now.

Our KALs are about helping you develop a consistent making practice so that you feel these life changing benefits. Think in-depth tutorials that match the exact pattern you’re making and in-the-moment expert coaching to help if you need it...not to mention our vibrant community of makers cheering you on!

If you’ve ever been curious about our KALs or just what finishing a project you adore feels like, don’t miss the video below. It’s all possible with the right support! After 16 KALs, this is my most loved intro video to date- don’t miss it :)

Get the full scoop in the video below:

The KAL experience is hosted completely within the Knit Collage App and It's a complete game changer! All of the video tutorials, patterns, live coaching sessions, event replays and the community space are all in one place. The app is available to both apple and android users and accessible on any internet browser.

In the next video coming out on Friday, I’ll go into all the fun, creative details of each of our four designs plus share more about our unique yarns – how they are made and by whom. Along with that video, will be a detailed blog post where I’ll share exact size, color and pricing details.

If you're up for sharing, I'd love to know what aspects of your knitting journey you most want to improve. Is it learning new techniques, finding more time to knit, or connecting with a supportive community? Whatever it is, take a moment to reflect on this. I invite you to leave a comment below where you share these insights. Is it the idea of mastering new skills, the prospect of finding a stress-relieving hobby, or the opportunity to connect with fellow knitters? Let’s hear it!

AND If you are a beginner knitter or crocheter, this is for you. Our team plus the video tutorials are there to guide and support you. When you're starting out, you need the most help and support - that's what our KALs are all about!
