Over the holiday weekend, I decided to knit up a few accessories in one of our yarns that I don't use too frequently, Candy Cane. This is a super special yarn because it is so difficult to make. Two strands of yarn are handspun separately and then plied together. This is time consuming to say the least. I decided to try a 1 skein version of our popular Ladder Stitch Cowl pattern and love how it came out. Â I've just updated the pattern to add in this 1 skein option. Yarns that will work for this pattern are Candy Cane, Sister, Gypsy Garden & Rolling Stone. Hope you like it as much as I do!
Striped Hoodie Hat & Glove Set
It's no secret that we love mixing our yarns that are chock full of trims with our simpler Sister yarn.  Sister yarn is a lightly spun thick and thin yarn that comes in giant 215 gram skeins. When Sister is striped with our embellished yarns, like Gypsy Garden or Rolling Stone, it helps stretch them out to make the most of their gorgeousness. That's what we hope we've done here with this matching hat and glove combo. You'll just need 2 skeins to make this set.
This hat and glove combo are perfect for a holiday gift for someone special. We especially love the slouched hoodie hat shape, snug fingerless gloves and mixed garter stitch stripe. The pattern is now available as a PDF download here.Â
Sharmila Turban Hat Pattern
I've had the knit turban shape on the brain for a few years now and I still love it! Today, we are releasing another turban-inspired pattern designed by Tori Kendrew. This hat knits up in a rib stitch which makes it form perfectly to your head. A cable detail at the center gives it that turban look. This pattern will work will with a plethora of our yarns, including Daisy Chain, Gypsy Garden, Rolling Stone & Sister. The pattern PDF is available here.
