The Mad Dash Wrap by Cheryl Kubat

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, pixie dust

It's no secret that we heart Cheryl Kubat, of Tangled Handknit designs, big time. She's designed a bunch of beautiful patterns for us, like the Chelsea Morning Legwarmers and the Cozy Cast Away Wrap.  In addition to the designs she creates for us, she also comes up with her own designs. The Mad Dash Wrap is one of these. This wrap is knit in a simple open eyelet stitch that's fast to knit. The wrap is oversized and can be worn in so many creative ways to keep you warm. The yarn used in the pattern is our Pixie Dust Mini and Pixie Dust.  I especially love the love fringe that combines both yarns. Check out the photos below and head on over to her Etsy shop to download your own copy! All photos by Meg Manion Silliker.

An update to a favorite pattern!

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, pixie dust, sister yarn

Today, I finally got around to updating the Ellie Cowl pattern with another option. Now, you get 2 slightly different patterns when you purchase this pattern. Version 1 is the original shoulder wrap version and version 2 is the long & skinny cowl option, shown below in Dark Teal & Amazon Moss. I love the second version because it's a little more versatile as a cowl. Still oversized and perfectly chunky but skinnier and easier to drape around your neck. Both gorgeous and perfect for this arctic tundra weather!  The new updated pattern is available here. You'll need 2 skeins of our Sister yarn and 1 skein of Pixie Dust.

Eskimo Kiss Hooded Cocoon by Tricky Knits

posted by: Amy Small in baby ideas, pixie dust, sister yarn

It's no secret that I heart Tricky Knits, big time! Not only is she a wonderful friend, but she also comes up with the most jaw-dropping adorable baby knits.  She's updated one of her popular patterns, The Eskimo Kiss Hooded Cocoon, so that now it knits up in our Sister yarn. This cocoon is perfect for wrapping up your newborn baby in this Christmas and snapping up some pics! I love the stocking shape and Christmas-y colors.  If you're interested in knitting this, she offers the pattern (available here) or the pattern and yarn as a kit here.

AND if you're interested here are a few other super cute designs by Tricky that use our yarns!
