Scarves in the Round by Heather Walpole

Good friend and knitting expert, Heather Walpole from Ewe Ewe Yarns, just published her first book called Scarves in the Round.  The book features 25 stunning cowl patterns. I couldn't be more excited about the 2 patterns that use our yarns. They are gorgeous. Take a peak below at the patterns and read on to find out what inspired Heather. Of course be sure to pick up your copy of the book right here too!

A Touch of Glitter Cowl: I was working on a really pretty and simple diamond lace stitch pattern and I thought it could use a yarn with just a hint of sparkle. Maharani Silk has three fun colors of silk and one skinny strand of lurex for just the right amount of shine to make my design pop! A Touch of Glitter also features a picot cast-on and bind-off to really make this cowl something special. Pattern info here.
Adorned Cowl: My inspiration for Adorned was simply Knit Collage yarn! I love the hand spun quality of the Rolling Stone yarns and the colors and embellishments in the Boho Dance color way are swoon-worthy! I wanted this scarf to show off that yarn as best it could so I chose the neutral backdrop go Sister yarn to compliment it. These two yarns together make a big, double-thick scarf that is so plush, lush and warm. Love! Pattern info here.

The Drop Stitch Slouch Hat

posted by: Amy Small in hat patterns, maharani silk

We've been obsessed with dropped and open stitches for a long time now. Our newest hat design is a fresh take on that idea with drop stitch "runs" knit throughout it and a relaxed rolled edge. When knit up with our Maharani Silk yarn, you get a teeny glint of sparkle too. You'll only need 1 skein of this silk yarn- bonus! The pattern is now available as a PDF download here. We knit our sample up in the colorway Firework.

Crochet Market Bag

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, free patterns, maharani silk

As we head into warmer weather, I'm always on the lookout for new crafting inspiration.  On pinterest, I came across this adorable crochet market bag, which is just about the cutest thing ever!  Of course, we had to make one up in our yarn.  We picked our Maharani Silk which is has the littlest bit of sparkle in it.  The best part is that this pattern is free on ravelry (available here) and it only calls for 1 skein of our yarn! Happy crocheting!

Pic above is from the crochet blog All About Ami. The original inspiration!

Our version in Maharani Silk, colorway Witching Hour.

Stitch detail.
