The time has finally come to think about fall and the impending colder weather. We are launching into our first fall 2013 pattern with a new cabbie hat designed by Danielle Shields.  It's ideal for the in-between cold and hot weather of early fall. This hat is also the perfectly slouchy shape with a cute little brim. Knit in our Daisy Chain yarn, you'll find tiny daisies and bits of lace spun in throughout, sure to add a smile to your face! Unwind, a shop based in Los Angeles, has a creative way of introducing their customers to new product. Every 60 days, Unwind features a "rotating parade of beautiful things to knit and crochet".  From now until September 15th, the shop is hosting Knit Collage for their Pop Up Shop. In addition to oodles of yarn in a  range of colors, Unwind also has many of our samples on display.  If you live in the LA area, it's definitely worth a stop in. Most shops that carry our yarn don't carry ALL of it, but that's what you'll find at Unwind through September.

This past June, I had the pleasure of meeting the ladies who run Knit 'n Needle in Whitefish, Montana. They were incredibly friendly and excited to get their hands on Knit Collage yarns. Now, I think everyone from Montana is wonderful! I don't think anyone can prove me wrong on this point :)

The owner, Aimee Alexander, has created 2 adorable kids patterns from our yarns that I'm excited to share.  We have very few kids knit designs, so these come as much welcome additions to the Knit Collage pattern library. Aimee designed the Clouds Rest Pixie Hat and the Clouds Rest Capelet, both available as PDF downloads on Ravelry. Both also use 2 skeins of our Daisy Chain or Gypsy Garden yarns.  I will be casting on ASAP!
