Crochet Market Bag

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, free patterns, maharani silk

As we head into warmer weather, I'm always on the lookout for new crafting inspiration.  On pinterest, I came across this adorable crochet market bag, which is just about the cutest thing ever!  Of course, we had to make one up in our yarn.  We picked our Maharani Silk which is has the littlest bit of sparkle in it.  The best part is that this pattern is free on ravelry (available here) and it only calls for 1 skein of our yarn! Happy crocheting!

Pic above is from the crochet blog All About Ami. The original inspiration!

Our version in Maharani Silk, colorway Witching Hour.

Stitch detail.

The Wildflower Clutch Pattern

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, wildflower

Curious to see what you can knit up with just 1 skein of our Wildflower yarn? Say hello to this cute little clutch, which will take you about 2 hours to knit up with 1 skein of yarn. That's the kind of project we love!  We recommend adding lots of tassels and pom poms too. We raided our stash for a few in contrasting colors to the Wildflower yarn for the pom pons. Best news of all ~ this pattern is a freebie! Available here. The yarn colorway shown here is Gardenia.

The Fish Scale Baguette Pattern!

posted by: Amy Small in bag patterns, stargazer silk

This cute mini bag has been a long time in the making! It is our very first pattern by the talented crocheter Tori Kendrew, who I originally met through the fantastic Cambridge yarn shop Gather Here. When she was swatching out ideas, we both fell in love with this fish scale stitch and knew it would be perfect for this project. The stitch is a little tricky to get the hang of at first, so we’ve accompanied this pattern with many how-to photos. Once you get the hang of it though, it crochets up quickly! The Stargazer Silk yarn is perfect for this project, adding some sparkle and weight to the bag. The pattern calls for 3 skeins as this scale pattern uses up a bunch of yarn. In my humble opinion, it’s totally worth it! Can’t wait to wear this all spring & summer long. This bag can be worn as a clutch, or if you’re so inclined add a strap for a cross-body look. The pattern is available as a PDF download for $4 here. We made ours in Blue Lagoon & Violet.
