posted by: Amy Small in cast away, sister yarn, sweaters & tops patterns

It's always an awesome day when we release a new pattern! I ESPECIALLY love this one! Our Rustic Handpsun poncho is perfect for autumn saturdays spent apple picking. This design features a rib neck and is knit top down, making it very easy for you to adjust the length to your liking and height. The bottom border is knit our Cast Away yarn, creating a beautiful textural detail. You'll need 3 skeins of our Sister yarn and 2 skeins of our Cast Away yarn to complete this project. We knit our is Ivory Sister yarn and Truffle Cast Away. All the details right here.

A spring time pattern favorite

posted by: Amy Small in stargazer silk, sweaters & tops patterns

As the weather warms up, it's worth taking time to revisit our favorite spring Knit Collage patterns. Without a doubt, mine is the Summer of Love Tank pattern by Susan Sheby. Even though it IS a sweater, it knits up so quickly on size 11 needles in a loose seed stitch. Our Stargazer Silk yarn creates a beautiful drape with all those tiny brass sequins adding a little bit of weight and sparkle to it. I also love the delicate crochet yoke detail. The pattern is one size but because of the open  stitch and loose silhouette it will fit most body types. The tank straps tie at the shoulder, making them easily adjustable too. Pattern available right here.

Colorwork Knitting

posted by: Amy Small in sister yarn, sweaters & tops patterns

Ever since I returned back from California last week, it's been super crazy around here. Our next tradeshow is in exactly one month and I have so much to do! So in lieu of a full blog post, I though I'd share one of the sweaters I'm working on for our first finished collection of accessories & sweaters. Of course, I love it! I think we should probably come up with a pattern for this pretty sweater too, but would love to hear what you think. The fit is oversized and boxy with a wide shawl collar, perfect for this freezing weather that's hit the northeast right now. It's knit up in a few different colors of our Sister yarn and was made by the ladies who spin our yarn in India. Let me know what you think!
