The Star Chaser Tank Pattern

posted by: Amy Small in stargazer silk, sweaters & tops patterns

I couldn't be more excited to release the Star Chaser tank pattern by Susan Sheby today. It knits up in our gypsy inspired Stargazer Silk yarn. This yarn is tediously hand dyed and then beaded with silver colored brass sequins. Stargazer is perfect for open, drapey sumer knits like this one. The tank bodice is knit in a loose seed stitch while the body is knit in a scalloped lace stitch. Our favorite detail is the little petal-like cap sleeves thank hang over your shoulders.

In this pattern, the tank is knit from the bottom up and finished with a crochet yoke and straps that give a supportive framework to the loose, drapey quality of the body. The open stitch and loose silhouette make this style an easy one size fits most! This tank is meant to be loose and drapey. The knitted fabric is very stretchy due to the loose knit gauge. The crochet straps tie at the shouder making the length easily adjustable too. The pattern is available right here

New Pattern ~ The Dash Poncho

posted by: Amy Small in pixie dust, sister yarn, sweaters & tops patterns

It's no secret that our Dash Scarf Pattern from last Fall is a favorite around here. This year, designer Cheryl Kubat, has come up with a gorgeous update- a poncho version. Of course, we are obsessed with it!  Instead of knitting with our cocoony sparkle-filled Pixie Dust yarn, this yarn is woven throughout the finished knitted piece. We love the creative use of the yarn as well as the versatile poncho shape. The pattern calls for 2 skeins of our Sister yarn and 1 skein of Pixie Dust. It's available as a download right here.
