Big changes at knit collage

posted by: Amy Small in cast away, daisy chain, hat patterns, swirl

This week has been one seriously exciting week here at Knit Collage. We (finally!) started selling our yarn on site. So now, we are open to wholesale AND retail orders. We couldn't be more excited to connect with you and help answer any questions you may have about our products.

We also added our first accessory to site ~ the Ribby Turban Headband! This is available as a ready made knit (we make it for you!) or as a knitting pattern. So you can pick, knit your own or have us do the work for you. Take a peak at this gorgeous knit below and check out the accessory option or pattern option.

We knit ours in Cast Away color Coconut Sparkle ~ the ultimate winter wonderland yarn colorway.

Winter Wonderland Patterns

Looking for the perfect hat and glove set to keep you cozy all winter or the perfect gift idea for a loved one? Look no further than our Winter Wonderland Hat and Glove patterns.

In these patterns, we mix our Sister yarn, which is a simply spun thick and thin yarn, with our embellished Gypsy Garden (or Rolling Stone) yarns. So you'll see all the trims and sparkly goodness from those yarns on the borders of your accessories.  You just need 2 skeins to complete both the hat and glove patterns.

The ribby stitch used on the body of the hat and gloves creates a beautiful chunky knit textures, sure to keep you warm all winter long. We knit the samples shown here in Sister color Driftwood and Gypsy Garden color Mermaid Cafe.

Eyelet Cable Hat

posted by: Amy Small in daisy chain, hat patterns, swirl

Today we introduce another pretty hat into our pattern family. The Eyelet Cable Hat, designed by Cheryl Kubat, became one of my favorites the minute I laid eyes on it. I especially love the combination of the cable brim with the open eyelet hat body and the slouchy, relaxed shape. I'm still a beginner at cabling and this hat was a nice way to practice them without committing to a more daunting project. This pattern will work perfectly with either our Daisy Chain or Swirl yarns. Happy knitting! Pattern available here. Our hats photographed below are knit up in the new Swirl colors, Colbalt Heather and Icey Blue.
