Sketchbook Tee Pattern

This cozy tee, with 2 sleeve options, is sure to be a fun, modern staple piece in your wardrobe. Both the Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve versions feature a cropped, relaxed fit and crew neckline with ribbed edging. Choose your favorite shade of Spun Cloud to knit a short-sleeved or long-sleeved tee, or make both! If desired, embellish your finished Sketchbook Tee with optional embroidery for a truly one-of-a-kind work of art.

Pattern Details:

Materials:

Main Color (MC): Spun Cloud (100% wool; approx 100 yds (92 m) / 200 g)

Short Sleeves: 2 (3, 3, 3, 4) [4, 5, 5, 5, 6] skeins, shown in Highlighter and Frosty Green

Long Sleeves: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5) [6, 6, 6, 7, 7] skeins, shown in Orchid

Contrast Color (CC): 1 skein Wildflower (100% cotton; approx 60 yds (55 m) / 70 g), shown in Lotus Petal – optional, for embroidery

Please note any modifications to size or length may require additional yarn

Needle Size: 

Size US 15 (10 mm) 32-40” / 80-100 cm circular needles or 2 mm smaller than larger needles (and, unless using magic loop, additional needles of the same size for your preference of small circumference knitting)

Size US 17 (12 mm) 32-40” / 80-100 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge (and, unless using magic loop, additional needles of the same size for your preference of small circumference knitting)

Note: See Gauge for adjusting needle sizes.

Gauge: 7 sts and 10 rows/rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch Worked Flat and in the Round on larger needles, steam blocked.

Note: Adjust larger needle size as needed to achieve gauge. Then choose smaller needles approx 2 mm smaller than larger needles.

Fit Note: 

Recommended to be worn with 2-6” / 5-15 cm of positive ease at the chest, depending on your preferred fit. Highlighter and Orchid samples are shown in size 1 on a 32” / 80 cm chest with 2.25” / 5.5 cm of positive ease. Frosty Green sample is shown in a size 3 on 38” / 95 cm chest with 4.25” / 10.5 cm of positive ease.
