Colorful, horizontal stripes, combined with columns of purl stitches, give the Plaid Happy Sweater its unique sense of style. The Front and Back are worked flat and joined at the shoulders, then the Sleeves are picked up across the armholes and are also worked flat. Before seaming the sides, optional Surface Crochet is added along the purl columns to transform the stripes into an all-over plaid pattern. Stripes or plaid, whichever you choose, you can’t go wrong with this cozy sweater!
* The yarn needed to complete this project, including 3-5 skeins of Spun Cloud yarn, and 3-5 skeins of Wildflower yarn. This kit does not include yarn for the optional vertical plaid surface crochet so that you can either leave the vertical plaid off or go diving into your stash for these yarns! (required yarn amount varies upon size you purchase). Please note any modifications to size, length or embellishments may require additional yarn.
* All of the knitalong patterns, available as a PDF download on our cast on date, not at the time of purchase.
* Thoughtful and fun packaging!
* Knitalong Guide with the resources you'll need to be successful with your project. The patterns for the KAL designs will be available and accessible on November 2nd, our official cast on day, not at the time of purchase.
* Needles / Hook
* The yarn for the vertical plaid stripes. If you'd like to purchase a kit that includes the vertical plaid yarn, click here.

Over the course of the last 13 years, we've created our own little cottage industry within the Indian economy where 16 Indian women create our yarns! There’s just so much that goes into each and every skein and none of it would be possible without this team, right here, making it all happen. One of my favorite things about being there is that anything feels possible. Read more on the blog: India Team + Trip Recap.
