Welcome to the Fall 2026 Knitalong! Our knitalongs are a wonderful way to learn and grow in new ways. Expect support from our expert coaches and accountability and connection from other creativity-loving makers to keep you on track. It's about learning new things, diving deep into our most creative selves and of course, having a lot of fun along the way too!
The Plaid Happy Sweater will come with surface crochet video tutorials to help you through this technique.
The Fall 2026 knitalong will be hosted entirely on our app, which means everything is available in one, easy to navigate space.

Colorful, horizontal stripes, combined with columns of purl stitches, give the Plaid Happy Sweater its unique sense of style. The Front and Back are worked flat and joined at the shoulders, then the Sleeves are picked up across the armholes and are also worked flat. Before seaming the sides, optional Surface Crochet is added along the purl columns to transform the stripes into an all-over plaid pattern. Stripes or plaid, whichever you choose, you can’t go wrong with this cozy sweater!
* The yarn needed to complete this project, including 3-5 skeins of Spun Cloud yarn, 3-5 skeins of Wildflower yarn, 1 skein of Daisy Chain for vertical plaid, and 1-2 skeins of Dreamland for vertical plaid. (required yarn amount varies upon size you purchase). Please note any modifications to size, length or embellishments may require additional yarn.

Recommended to be worn with 8-12.5” / 20-31.5 cm of positive ease at the chest, depending on your preferred fit. French Vanilla sample is shown in size 3 on a 36” / 90 cm chest with 10.75” / 27 cm of positive ease. Mixed MC sample is shown in size 2 on a 31” / 77.5 cm chest with 11.25” / 28 cm of positive ease.

Size US 15 (10 mm), 32” / 80 cm and 16” / 40 cm circular needles or approx 2.75 mm smaller than larger needles
Size US 17 (12.75 mm), 32” / 80 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge plus additional needle or needle tip of the same or similar size for Three-Needle Bind-Off.
Size N/P US 15 (10 mm) crochet hook, or same size as smaller needle (optional, for surface crochet)
7.5 sts and 8 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch Worked Flat on larger needle using MC, steam blocked
Note: Adjust larger needle size as needed to achieve gauge. For smaller needles, use needles approx 2.75 mm smaller than larger needles. For crochet hook, use a hook the same size as smaller needles.
