Meet Linda ~ A Creative Knitter's Story
Linda joined Creative Knitters in January of 2024. Originally, she thought that she just wanted to get first access to the yarns she wanted and maybe secure some specialized help from the knit coaches with her projects. What she found was so much more than that.
She discovered a supportive and like minded community of fellow Creative Knitters there to cheer her on, inspire, and help her unlock the creativity within.
"It opened up this big world of creativity for me. It's let me take that part of myself that I love––being a knitter--and actually be proud about it and say it with a smile on my face."
Linda came back to knitting after a long time away when she was searching for a creative practice that she could lean into in the face of life's many challenges. She tried painting, drawing and weaving but nothing seemed to fit quite the way that knitting did.
Creative Knitters helped her approach her knitting from a new angle and gave her the support and tools she needed to help morph her knitting time into the exact creative practice she'd been seeking. Now, she is proud to say that she is a knitter and so grateful for the positive effects it's had in her life.

"I definitely think my knitting practice would be different if I hadn't joined Creative Knitters. For one thing, it probably wouldn't actually be on my needles."
Linda credits Creative Knitters with helping her get her dream projects out of her brain, onto her needles and, maybe most importantly, OFF her needles and into her wardrobe.
She says that thanks to Creative Knitters, not only is she knitting more but she's also finishing more projects than ever before.

"I've always been able to get out of it what I wanted and needed."
As an international Creative Knitters member, based in Australia, she’s grateful that she’s still able to get so much out of the membership even though she lives across the world from most members.
She feels like despite the time difference, she’s still able to truly feel a part of the community, participate in the events, and get so much more out of the membership than she ever thought when she first considered giving it a go.
Linda continues to dive deeper into her creative making practice with every project, check out her first crochet project (!) below!
