Spring 2024 Make-along ~ the why of all of it and how to join!

posted by: Amy Small

I loved hearing about which styles you're interested in making and thank you for all the fantastic questions! In this final video, I go into more detail about why I care so much about knitting and crochet, especially in community, and how it has the potential to change us all for the better. I also share the incredible work of past participants and highlight some of their thoughts on how these make-along experiences have impacted their lives.

Within the make-along experience, you'll get:

* An easy-to follow video course on how to knit or crochet each of the following designs: The Lotus Sweater, The Lotus Pillow, The Sunbeam Stripe Cardi and the Frolic Crochet Shawl. The video courses are broken into bite size chunks for easy learning. You just need to know the very basic knit and purl stitches to join in! The course is yours forever. There will be around 60 videos total.

* A downloadable workbook with the pattern and our best tips and resources for knitting and crochet success.

* 15 live zoom sessions (every other day of the challenge!) with me, your teacher, the Knit Collage coaches and the pattern designers to help answer in-the-moment questions.

* Technical support in our facebook group to answer all of your questions. Coaches Pia, Cheryl and Amy will be there daily to help and cheer.

* A welcoming, energetic, and kind community of members to hold you accountable and keep you motivated to actually complete your project.

* Prizes valued at over $1000 for most creative design, most improved beginner, kindest community member and more!

*  Finish with a closing celebration party and community fashion show.

Bonuses:

* Knitting 101 course and a Crochet 101 course (the basics!) - yours forever

* The first 100 people that order on 4/17/24, beginning at 10am ET will get a free Wildflower Mini Skein (17 yards- value $13.60). These will be a mix of new and existing colors!

These 4 patterns will be available to make-along participants only for about 6-12 months. I encourage you to order early to make sure you get the color you want. All out of stock yarns as well as new spring yarn colors (Wildflower, Wildflower Mini Skein Kits and Waterfall) will be in stock and available on 4/17/24, right when we open up the MAL kits. There are very limited quantities of these! Last make-along we sold out of many colors within an hour.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions in the comments below.

Thank you so much!

Amy

Spring 2024 Make-along Intro ~ the Designs!

posted by: Amy Small

I’m excited to share all of the styles, color, fit and pricing details for our upcoming make-along with you today. In the video below, I walk you through the yarn, how it is made and by whom, how and where I teach, and design info for all of the styles. There's a lot! After the video, I dive into fit, pricing and color details in the blog post below. If you like, you can peruse all the color options early too!

Just in case you missed my first video, watch that first here!

Access the free knitting workshop here (it's live now, 27 videos tutorials total!)

I teach you everything you need to know to knit or crochet your piece from start to finish in the video tutorials. If these styles feel complicated, not to worry, we got you! Many past participants knit their very first sweater with us. The tutorials are a labor of love that I work so hard on - last season we had 100 videos in total across all the designs! When you join us for a make-along, the videos are yours forever to come back to anytime. Designing, tech editing and testing each pattern takes a small village - especially the sweaters which all include 9 sizes. Along with the video courses, our expert coaches will be there to help you in the moment, when you need it - live on zoom or in our facebook group! When you buy just one kit, you will have access to all 4 of the patterns and their relevant course videos.

You can view all the color options and detailed design photos here. You do not need to have a Dropbox account, nor do you need to join the folder to see the content. Fit, size and pricing details listed out below! If you would like to see exact yarn usage per size for each design, we have that listed on each design's ravelry page, linked below.

Please keep in mind we have two different ways to pay on the site, called Shop Pay and Afterpay. These options allow you to pay in 3-4 interest free increments rather than 100% all at once. There is no extra interest or cost, just an alternative way to pay. I discovered this to be very helpful as a payment method on some of my favorite sites.

Light, airy and breathable, this pullover is the perfect companion for evening walks on the beach and outdoor dining in a light summer breeze.

The Lotus Pillow is a companion to the Lotus Sweater and the perfect statement piece for any room in the home that could use a little pop of color and texture! The 16’’ / 40 cm pillow is knit flat in two pieces and then joined together using an applied i-cord binding. The statement front panel features an intarsia column of colorful “Lotus Stitches” flanked by two bands of “Wheat Stitches” that offer textural and visual interest. Colorful tassels pull the piece together for a one-of-a-kind home décor item you won’t find anywhere else!

Option 3: Frolic Flower Shawl by Amy Small
Crocheted in Wildflower and Waterfall yarns

The Frolic Flower Shawl is a simple crochet pattern designed to be a patchwork of four different flower shapes in a mix of Waterfall and Wildflower yarns! After crocheting all of the flowers, stitch them together in either a triangle shawl or long scarf and wear with love. This idea behind this pattern is to invite you to do your own thing with the flowers and mix and match them how you like. This pattern is ideal for beginner crocheters who would like to improve and take their skills to the next level!

Lastly, the virtual option will be $88. With this option you get all of these patterns (Lotus Sweater, Lotus Pillow, Frolic Crochet Shawl and Sunbeam Stripe Cardi), the 4 teachable classes to these designs (they're yours forever), Knitting and Crochet 101 video courses, community via zoom, FB and a few, fun special surprises!

That is all she wrote friends! Please reach out with any questions at all and let me know in the comments below what you're thinking of making! We are able to do custom color kits for you if you like - although they will have to be placed on the phone to ensure we have the colors and inventory you would like as we are low on some of our yarns. Join me on Instagram on Saturday, April 13th at 2pm ET to go deep into each design.

The kits go live on Wednesday, April 17th at 10am ET and will be available for one week only. Last time we sold out of many colors within hours, so I encourage you to use this post to help decide early. We have very little in our new Wildflower yarn colors. Then we get knitting and crocheting :)

I CANNOT WAIT!
