The one of a kind sweater that dreams are made of!

The one of a kind sweater that dreams are made of!

The Wandering Vine Cardi, designed by Cheryl Kubat, is here and it’s all about the details!

This design features a cabled eyelet button band, luscious  moss stitch, and a show stopping leafy lace panel on the back. Put it all together and you’ve got an oversized cardi coat that’s as cozy as it is statement.

Styled simply with jeans and a thermal, it is the whole moment! Peruse kits and snag the pattern at the links below, and read on to see how Cheryl used a new-to-me crochet technique to take this design up a notch : )

Cheryl used a combination of crocheted flower appliques and applied surface crochet to completely transform her design. The finished object is truly wearable art, it blew my mind the first time I saw her wearing it!

For the crochet embellishments, Cheryl used a combination of worsted-Aran weight yarns from her stash and our Wildflower cotton yarn in a mix of colors.

The affect is almost like a stained glass window and the beauty of it is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it. You fully get to do your own thing and make something completely unique to you!

The pattern includes an embellishment guide by Cheryl where she explains in detail how to create the crochet flowers and apply the surface crochet detailing on the vines.

There’s also a short length option that would be the perfect jacket length for Spring.
