The Next Chapter of Knit Collage: A Business Update
For many months now, I've been dreaming about what I want Knit Collage to look like in the future. It has been a year between 50% tariffs, a huge challenge with an app developer we’ve worked with and the sudden death of a dear friend. I’ve been thinking about what I want my own life to look like and which parts of my work still light me up the most.
So this week's YouTube video is a little different from what I normally share. This week, I'm sharing more about the business, where we're headed and why. The short version of what this looks like is less inventory, fewer launches, more intention, and hopefully more room for creativity.
For a long time, I think I believed that growing a business meant continuing to add. That looked like more yarns, more colors, more launches and ultimately a lot of complexity. These days, I'm more interested in a different question: What if better doesn't mean bigger?
Despite the challenges, I’ve never been more excited about this next chapter and what it could mean for the team and I. I'm sharing the whole story in this week's video and would love to bring you along for it.
If you’ve had a time in your life where you’ve felt like you’re on a hamster wheel and juggled similar struggles, I’d love to hear from you. What helped?
Thanks for being here for this vulnerable share. I’ll be back next week with a regularly scheduled email including details on our upcoming Learn to Knit Week and a new free pattern release. Oh and we have a huge labor day sale headed your way where we’ll be saying goodbye to many yarns for good.
Thank you so much for being here,
Amy
