Hi there! I’m excited to share all of the style, color, fit and pricing details for our upcoming make-along (MAL) with you today. In the video below I walk you through the yarn, how it is made, how and where I teach you (!!!) and style info for each of the 4 chosen MAL designs. There's a lot! After the video, I dive into fit, pricing and color details in the blog post below. 

Remember we will teach you everything you need to know to knit your piece from start to finish in the video tutorials. If these styles feel complicated, not to worry, we got you!  If you stick to my rough schedule, which is totally achievable (big needles help!) you will complete your design in 8 weeks time or less. Many past participants knit their very first sweater with us. If these prices seem high to you, please remember that there is so much that comes along with this MAL than just your yarn and a pattern. The tutorials are a labor of love that myself and the whole team here have tediously worked away on to make our best, most detailed videos to date (which are so helpful for new knitters, crocheters and experienced ones - think brioche!). Designing, tech editing and testing each pattern takes a small village - especially the sweaters which all include 9 sizes. We also offer round the clock help just in case you need it. When you buy just one kit, you will have access to all 4 of the patterns and their relevant course videos, plus the bonus patterns (see below!). I may even have a surprise bonus pattern and event up my sleeve....!

 

Please keep in mind we have a different way to pay on my site, called Afterpay. It allows you to pay in 3 interest free increments rather than 100% all at once. There is no extra interest or cost, just an alternative way to pay. I discovered this to be very helpful as a payment method on some of my favorite sites.

Meet the Corrine Cardi! Add a touch of retro flare to your spring wardrobe with this statement-making style, which brings the art of crochet and knitting together. Dive into creativity and color by picking and mixing yarns together in a way that feels authentic to you! This cardi is great option for beginner knitters and crocheters alike. It uses a mix of our light and lofty Serenity Boucle yarn and our bright and beautiful Wildflower yarn to make up the traditional granny squares, which are joined together forming the body of the cardigan. The sleeves are then simply knit in the round. If you are new to crochet, or knitting not to worry, we'll guide you in step by step videos and help sessions so you know exactly how to make this stunning design!

Fit Note: Choose a size above based on your chest size at the fullest part. The size listed already includes a generous amount of positive ease and is the fit size, not the finished size. Because of the design limitations, there are only 3 garment bodice sizes; the sleeve lengths are based on gthe finished garment widths. Grow With Me Cardi

 

 

 

Take your knitting to the next level with this beautiful, sleek, and reversible brioche cardi. Newer to knitting or ever been curious about brioche? This might just be the design to teach you all the elusive ins and outs of brioche! Worked from the top down seamlessly, the Grow With Me Cardi is a raglan-style, cropped cardigan that showcases the contrast between Spun Cloud and Wildflower yarns using brioche, creating a bold branching and rooting effect as increases are added. It features an open V-neck, short cap sleeves, and choice of a flared or straight body. It's such a perfect piece to throw over your shoulders that you won't want to take it off!

Botanical Cardi

 

The Botanical Cardi is truly a one-of-a-kind artistic cardigan. In this design, we'll knit from the center back flower outward - making this a fantastic design to learn modular and simple lace knitting as well as a handful of fun new stitches. It is a seamless design with a unique construction featuring a v-neckline and lace fronts that can be worn open or with a simple button to close. This spring style is a wonderful, airy knit and makes for a great layering piece with any wardrobe staple.

The Numerology Shawl

 

 

 

Meet the Numerology Shawl, a collaboration with one of our favorite indie dyers - Jake Kenyon of Kenyarns. This beginner friendly shawl is a top down, semi-circular shawl worked in garter stitch with decorative increases. It's the perfect piece for new knitters and anyone interested in playing with color and texture. The use of slipped stitches create accent details for a wearable and cozy drape. Created using a mix of our Serenity brushed boucle, which is a lightweight merino/nylon blend with a cool, stubby texture and our Wildflower yarn. Make your shawl one-of-a-kind through intentional color changes inspired by your personal Life Path Number.

Botanical Blanket

Have fun with color mixing here! This style looks fall feeling because of it's oversized silhouette, but it's actually super light and fluffy to wear - the perfect spring and summer layer. It has a seamless, drop shoulder construction worked flat from the bottom up using stranded colorwork when transitioning between colors and accented throughout with a faux seam. This cardigan is perfect for adding a multicolored splash to any outfit.

The Kaleidoscope Embroidered sweater is ideal for beginner knitters who want to tackle their first sweater ever....but it's also great if you're up for learning a new technique - how to embroider on your knitting. The really fun part about this Kaleidoscope Cardi iteration is that you'll be running wild (creatively!) with the embroidery element of this design. If you wish to donate a kit to someone who wants to join in but can't, we'll have a way to do that too. We'll match any gift that is given so that your donation goes twice as far. Recipients are chosen completely at random - in previous KALs we've donated around 20 kits!
