Heart inspired hand knits!
Happy Valentine’s Week! I’m celebrating all week long with all the heart inspired knits and we need them up here in Boston because it is really, really cold! Here are two of my faves, the Happy Heart Day Hat + the Big Love Sweater. Because nothing says I love you more than a handknit sweater or accessory.
The Big Love Sweater Pattern
The Big Love V-Neck Pullover Pattern is a super fun and easy sweater to make, it uses the intarsia method of color work, adding big blocks of color without having floats of stranded color work. Show your love with a large heart on the front and five smaller hearts down the center back.
Pattern available here.
Happy Heart Day Patterns
Embrace Valentine’s Day and spread the love with two adorable hat patterns! The Hearts on Repeat hat (shown above) is a cute and simple Fair Isle pattern featuring hearts and stripes repeated around and is finished off with a crochet scalloped border.
The All Hearts for You hat (shown above) is worked from the brim to the crown, starting with a 2 color folded brim, creating a delicate picot edge, followed by some simple colorwork. Choose one or choose both and style your outfit with a little extra love. With one skein of the Main Color yarn and one skein of the Coordinating Color yarn you’ll be able to make two hats! Free pattern for both of these hats available here.
I hope you'll heart these patterns as much as I do. Wrap yourself up in a handknit hug or knit and gift them to someone special.
