Fall 2025 Design Survey
I'm excited to share the style options for our upcoming knitalong, slated to kick off at the end of October. At Knit Collage, we host two knitalongs (KALs) a year and they are what myself and the small yet mighty team here lives for. We work diligently all yearlong on pattern designs that inspire you. During our KALs, we connect with other makers, knit and crochet in community, cheer each other on, learn new techniques and finish with an heirloom to treasure for years to come.
I would so appreciate your help and input to make this our best to date. And that's where your vote comes in. The design winners are chosen by popular vote so here is your chance to have your voice heard and counted. Feel free to share with friends! If any of these intimidate you - please keep in mind that I teach you how to knit and crochet each style from start to finish in an online class that is yours forever. Last spring, many knitters tackled their first sweater ever and many tried crochet for the very first time. More photos and a description of each design below too.

Option 7 ~ Grateful Thread Scarf by Julia Norris
Knit using Mixtape
The self-striping magic of Mixtape yarn shines in this entrelac scarf. 2 colors of Mixtape alternate throughout the design for a woven, color-blocked effect with epic fringe. The scarf is knit in the round for a super cozy accessory with no "wrong side" and squish-factor in spades. Bonus--the ends are hidden inside of the scarf which means no weaving in ends!
Option 8 ~ Log Cabin Sweater by Laurel Gervitz
Knit using Spun Cloud and Mini Skein Sampler Kits
Inspired by the traditional quilting technique, the Log Cabin Sweater is a modular, drop shoulder sweater created by building blocks of knitted fabric off of previous blocks. The front of the sweater is worked from the center out and is based on a log cabin design, whereas the back involves working back and forth from the bottom up, joining with the sides of the front as you go. Sleeves are worked in the round with simple striping and a tapered shape, and an I-cord is worked along the neckline, body edge, and sleeve cuffs.
Option 9 ~ Cozy Cabin Pillow by Laurel Gervitz
Knit using Spun Cloud, Daisy Chain and Mini Skein Sampler Kit
Inspired by the traditional log cabin quilting technique, the Cozy Cabin Pillow has a modular construction, created by building blocks of knitted fabric off of previous blocks. The front of the pillow is worked from the center out in this log cabin design, while the back of the pillow is smooth stockinette with stripes. The varied textures of each unique yarn shine in this color-blocked design.
Option 10 ~ As You Are Scarf by Afifa Sayeed and Amy Small
Knit using Spun Cloud and Wildflower Minis
Inspired by patchwork quilts made in the villages of Pakistan that are constructed using upcycled fabric from old clothes and saris, this scarf makes the most of the textural elements of Knit Collage yarn. The bias squares are knit modularly, so this pattern really allows you to play with colors any way you wish and would be a great stash buster!
Option 11 ~ Sundance Stripe Sweater by Jen Geigley
Knit using Spun Cloud, Cast Away, Daisy Chain, Wildflower, and Dreamland yarn
The Sundance Stripe Sweater is just as cool as it is classic. This sweater has an oversized and effortless, relaxed look. The super fun mix of yarns adds the perfect amount of interest and texture.
Option 12 ~ Art School Shawl by Cheryl Kubat
Knit using Sister or Spun Cloud and Wildflower
Stripes of texture and color meet in the playful slip stitch pattern of the Art School Shawl. Yarn over increases frame a center column of stitches, creating a striking spine detail, while wool and fabric yarns alternate in tactile stripes. Make a statement with bold color contrasts or blend similar colors for subtle shading.
