our national gallery shawl
After seeing this pattern by Tanis Gray last year, I knew we had to make one for our tradeshow booth! The pattern comes from her book, Capitol Knits, and is inspired by the LED tunnel between the 2 wings of the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. This sample was knit by Susan Sheby, our resident designer and knitter extrodinaire, using Stargazer Silk yarn in Chartreuse & Deep Olive- one skein of each colorway. Being the flower child that I am, I love the daisy-like striped pattern, an unusual stitch you don't see too often. The lace scalloped edging is also beautiful.
