Denim Jacket DIY

Who doesn't love a good embellished jacket or pair of jeans?! I may be the number one fan of this look! I really wanted to find a vintage or thrift store jacket for this DIY but simply couldn't find any at my favorite Savers thrift shop. I ended up buying a denim jacket at Gap and really like the way it fits. Then I went to town and embellished it with yarn, trims and pom poms. Details below.

Here are the materials I used to embellish it:

* The trims we use to wrap up and package our mini skein kits. These are treasures found on my travels to India!

* Yarn scraps left over from my Garden Party sweater. Those yarns are French Vanilla in Spun Cloud and Blush Happy in the new mini skein Wildflower kits.

* I had the teeny pom poms from a pervious trip to India but these would be very easy to make yourself.

If you're invested in a detailed tutorial, let me know. Perhaps I will put one together! In the mean time, I can't wait to wear this and hope this inspires you to use your leftover yarns in a fresh, new way. Using up stash yarns is one of my most favorite things to do!
