We are SO EXCITED to invite you to our first ever in-person Creative Knitters Retreat which will be hosted at the beautiful Newport Harbor Island Resort, February 13th-15th, 2026.

What do I book first - the event activities with Knit Collage or the room with Newport Harbor Island Resort?

We ask that you please book the event activities on our website prior to arranging your hotel room with Newport Harbor Island Resort. After checking out on our website with your Event Registration here, we will send you an email with the instructions of how you can contact the Newport Harbor Island Resort to book your hotel room. Thank you! 

 

Can my spouse or best friend come along?

The Newport Harbor Island Resort allows one additional guest before a fee increase. You are welcome to have a loved one tag along and stay at the resort with you. However, the Creative Knitters Retreat which is hosted by Knit Collage, is exclusively for Creative Knitters members. If you choose to bring a guest with you, they will not be able to participate in the retreat meals, workshops or guided tours.

Since this is our first retreat and we have a cap on how many members can participate, we want to make sure that this opportunity is exclusive to the group so that as many members who want to participate are able to do so. Thank you so much for understanding!

 

Something came up and I need to cancel!

All requests for refunds must be two-fold: requests for refunds for accommodations must be made through Newport Harbor Island Resort and all refund requests for the CK Retreat portion of the package must be made through Knit Collage. Knit Collage will not facilitate room cancellation, refund, swaps or additional charges on your behalf. In the event of unusual and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as conflict or natural disaster) Knit Collage reserves the right to reschedule the Creative Knitters Retreat. All requests for refunds and cancelations must be processed by January 13th, after which you will be responsible for 100% of the event cost and the room cost.

 

I have dietary restrictions or need additional accommodations

We are more than happy to accommodate your dietary restrictions and anything else you need to feel comfortable during the retreat. Please let us know any accommodations you may need through this Airtable form right here.

 

Where can I park?

On-site overnight self-parking is available to all guests. We have several on-site parking lots, as well as a parking garage. We also have three Tesla charging stations available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For the dates of our retreat, February 13-15th, the overnight self-parking rate has been discounted to $15 per car per night. If you are arriving before or departing after our retreat, the parking rates are as follows:

1-2 Hours: $18
2-4 Hours: $27
4-24 Hours: $35
Self-Park Overnight Rate (Mar-Oct): $35
Self-Park Overnight Rate (Nov-Feb): $20

Valet parking is available to all guests for $45 per night.

 

Are spa services included?

The on-site spa services are available to guests for an additional charge but they are not included in the retreat cost or accommodations cost.

Do I have to pay the resort fee?

The daily resort fee has been waived for the duration of our retreat. If you choose to arrive before or depart after our retreat, you will have to pay the daily resort fee for any extra days. 

Can I extend my trip on either end of the retreat?

Requests for early arrival or staying beyond the timeline of the CK Retreat may be made directly with the Newport Harbor Island Resort reservation desk at the time of booking. Please secure your event registration on our website before booking your hotel room.
