The Snuggled Up Tassel Blanket Pattern

posted by: Amy Small in home patterns, pixie dust, sister yarn

The Snuggled Up Tassel Blanket Pattern is sure to add a beautiful touch to your home.  In this pattern, we use a simple stitch that highlights the unique and varied textures and colors of our yarns. Loosely knit on size 50 needles, your blanket will be a drapey and cozy - think the opposite of stiff and board-like.

We offer 2 versions of this in the pattern you receive. The first blanket is knit holding 1 strand of our Pixie Dust yarn together with one strand of our Sister yarn. We used contrasting colors to achieve a tonal marled look shown here. In the second version, we use our Sister yarn only and hold 2 strands together.

In both versions, the tassels make the blanket. Do not skip adding these for an extra element of texture and fun!

All of the pattern, yarn and colorway details can be found right here. As always if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line at amy@knitcollage.com

Version 2 of the blanket is shown on top in the above pic and Version 1 is shown below.

Scarves in the Round by Heather Walpole

Good friend and knitting expert, Heather Walpole from Ewe Ewe Yarns, just published her first book called Scarves in the Round.  The book features 25 stunning cowl patterns. I couldn't be more excited about the 2 patterns that use our yarns. They are gorgeous. Take a peak below at the patterns and read on to find out what inspired Heather. Of course be sure to pick up your copy of the book right here too!

A Touch of Glitter Cowl: I was working on a really pretty and simple diamond lace stitch pattern and I thought it could use a yarn with just a hint of sparkle. Maharani Silk has three fun colors of silk and one skinny strand of lurex for just the right amount of shine to make my design pop! A Touch of Glitter also features a picot cast-on and bind-off to really make this cowl something special. Pattern info here.
Adorned Cowl: My inspiration for Adorned was simply Knit Collage yarn! I love the hand spun quality of the Rolling Stone yarns and the colors and embellishments in the Boho Dance color way are swoon-worthy! I wanted this scarf to show off that yarn as best it could so I chose the neutral backdrop go Sister yarn to compliment it. These two yarns together make a big, double-thick scarf that is so plush, lush and warm. Love! Pattern info here.

The Zig Zag Throw & Shawl Pattern

Barbara Wolff, who runs the German online yarn store Dibadu, came up with the most gorgeous of blankets using a mix of our yarns. Obsessed doesn't even come close to describing how I feel about this pattern.  I love it so much.  She has such an eye for color and the way she combined all of our yarns together is insanely beautiful!  Finally, after ogling this blanket since last March, the pattern is available as a PDF download on Ravlery right here. You'll see our Sister, Daisy Chain and Cast Away yarns all used together in the pattern.  Did I mention there's also a mini shawl pattern included too? Bonus! All photos are courtesy of Dibadu
