Ellen's Red Collar Pattern

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, pixie dust, sister yarn

Long time Knit Collage contributor, Cheryl Kubat, has come up with another gorgeous pattern that uses our yarn. In her latest pattern called Ellen's Red Collar, she combines our Pixie Dust and Sister yarns to create a stunning design. She uses our Pixie Dust yarn in ways I would never dream up. I love the texture the thick cocoon-y parts of the yarn create when knit in this way. I think this collar would look so cute over a winter coat too. Her pattern is now available for $7 on Etsy here. The colors used here are Antique Garnet Pixie Dust and Ruby Heather Sister. All photos are by Meg Manion Photography.

An update to a favorite pattern!

posted by: Amy Small in cowl & scarf patterns, pixie dust, sister yarn

Today, I finally got around to updating the Ellie Cowl pattern with another option. Now, you get 2 slightly different patterns when you purchase this pattern. Version 1 is the original shoulder wrap version and version 2 is the long & skinny cowl option, shown below in Dark Teal & Amazon Moss. I love the second version because it's a little more versatile as a cowl. Still oversized and perfectly chunky but skinnier and easier to drape around your neck. Both gorgeous and perfect for this arctic tundra weather!  The new updated pattern is available here. You'll need 2 skeins of our Sister yarn and 1 skein of Pixie Dust.
