Welcoming Home Baby the Handcrafted Way

I am excited to let everyone know that the wonderful new book, Welcoming Home Baby the Handcrafted Way by Tricky Drake is almost ready to hit bookshelves everywhere!  The author, Tricky and I met at the June TNNA back in 2010 and from the second we met, I knew we were kindred sprits.  She has one of those amazingly radiant and happy personalities that you just want to be around.  I think I sent her home with some yarn and a few months later sent her more, hoping that she'd find a way to fit them into the projects in the book she was working on. And lucky for us she did!  The book has gotten a lot of great hype and all for good reason.  The designs are so scrumptiously cute!  I love the way she uses chunkier gauges for baby designs, not something you typically see.  Most of the projects call for size 15, 17 and 19 needles. The photos from some of the books projects are up on this Ravelry page: http://www.ravelry.com/designers/tricia-drake Below are pics of the Sweet Dreams hat that features our Kiwi Twinkle Pixie Dust yarn, plus pics of my favorite, the baby cocoons. To preorder your very own copy, signed by Tricky, visit her etsy shop and site here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/69073935/knitting-patterns-for-newborn This should ship out very soon!

Last but not least my favorite from the book! So stinking cute.
